honny82 Posted July 21, 2011 Report Posted July 21, 2011 Hi I am looking for hotels near LGA. I have flight around 6:00 am so I have to live somewhere near to LGA. All hotels is fine with me as long as it is really near to LGA but better 3* and up. And my budget is tight at the moment.. So max around $70-80 per night. I assume there is slight chance for me to get 3* hotel at this price range..Asking for help! :) or other suggestions...
thereuare Posted July 22, 2011 Report Posted July 22, 2011 I'm assuming that anywhere within the boundaries of PRICELINE's LGA zone is acceptable? If so, at the 3* level you have THREE re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select 3* LGA...Bid $65, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $70, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $75, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $80Any questions feel free to ask. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Good luck and let us know how it goes. barbest Posted September 23, 2011 Report Posted September 23, 2011 I'm also trying to get a hotel in the LGA area. I tried your suggested strategy, but was not successful. I then tried starting with LGA and rebid zone 2, but it was rejected as a duplicate. If there are only 3 rebid zones, do I now have to wait 24 hrs.

Rates do vary by dates, so if these are different dates, a different price very well may be required. Additionally, if you have used all available bids you have to wait 24 hours.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
