wxworkoff Posted July 20, 2011 Report Posted July 20, 2011 Recently won a PRICELINE bid for the Holiday Inn Beacon Hill (3*, Quincy/Financial District zone) for 9/1 and 9/2 for $130 a night, came out $310 total with the taxes and fees. I originally bid $120, moving up $2-5 a bid while dropping down from a 4* to 3.5* and eventually a 3* (I added a few throwaway zones in there during the rebidding process as well).I was a bit handcuffed by the fact that I absolutely needed to stay in the Quincy area for these nights for business and personal reasons, and I was really trying to stay under $130 a night, so that hampered my rebidding efforts a tad bit. But I'd been bidding for about two weeks straight, and this is my first and only breakthrough. Labor day seems to filling up fast!
