I've been checking PRICELINE and HOTWIRE for airfares for our upcoming trip from SAN-OGG (Maui) When would be the good time to bid/buy? Should I wait closer to the travel date?

thanks I'm looking at 8/17-8/24 Sun to Sun. Would have been cheaper to get a Mon-Mon but the timeshare we're renting requires Sun-Sun check in.

I've been checking price several times during the day, and they fluctuate day to day. Not sure if I should risk it and wait till it gets closer for a better deal..

Was looking at July, the dates are 8/14-8/21 leaving from SAN-OGG. I'm looking to stay at $600 with tax and fees and prefer N/S

With airfare rates usually are highest just before travel... i wouldn't wait until the least minute for airfare.

If you bid on PRICELINE you have to agree to accept at lease one connection... is this acceptable? What is the best rate you're able to find for these dates?
