Priceline Hotel: 3.5* NYC (Downtown-Soho-Financial District) World Center

Hi! I am newbie to the USA as based in Europe. For PRICELINE, I once bid and won for London. I got Hilton! Thanks a lot.

I am going to New York between 12-15 August 2011 and my budget is max $150 with tax. Is is possible to get a room within this price?

The preferable area would be MTE, MTW, DT, CPS, Chelsea, MSG, ESB, TS, HK.

You might be able to get a 3* within your budget (a little of a stretch, but possible)... do you want to try for the highest star level your budget will allow, or are you looking for the least expensive 2.5* or better for this stay?

Also, note the following zone information for the star level you're bidding:

MTE - some hotels can be up to a 15 minute walk to the subway, is this acceptable?

CPS - has the Hudson Hotel... good location but extremely small rooms (~150sq. ft), would this be acceptable?

Thank you, thereuare. I would say no problem with the walk within 15-20 minutes to subway but I don't think I would like to have a small room which you mentioned in the Hudson Hotel.

I would prefer to keep it the least expensive since the budget is quite strict.

We don't typically recommend the 2.5* and under level in NYC as the quality can vary greatly. While there might be some hotels at this star level which meet your needs, there might be others which do not, and with PRICELINE you can't choose which type you will get :)

Just got the World Hotel 3.5* at $130 since not much time to bid. Therefore, I adjusted hotel level and budget based on the price research, found that quite expensive on Sunday 14.

And used the PRICELINE link from here.
