yoda88288 Posted July 17, 2011 Report Posted July 17, 2011 Hi... I'm new with Priceline and i'm looking for a Room in Boston downtown for 7 nights (10/8-17/8) for 2 people... I thought the best districts would be Copley or Quinci market... we hoped to get a hotel about 100-120$ and 3-4*... what would your bids be about? are there hotels in this range? and what do we have to bid for a 4* aprox in Boston?Thank you!
thereuare Posted July 17, 2011 Report Posted July 17, 2011 Welcome to BetterBidding! Please start by reading your messages. The top end of your budget may be enough for a 3*, but i'm guessing a 3.5*/4* will likely run about $140-$165/nite.Let us know what star rating and maximum bid you'd like to try first and we'll advise accordingly. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. yoda88288 Posted July 18, 2011 Author Report Posted July 18, 2011 Hi, thanks for the fast reply...I think we'll first go for the 3 star hotel and the 120$ and use the saved money for the rest of the trip...
thereuare Posted July 18, 2011 Report Posted July 18, 2011 At the 3* level you have TWO re-bid zones available. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.(NOTE: 're-bid zone1' is not the same as priceline's Zone1, 're-bid zone2' is not the same as priceline's Zone2, etc, etc)Select 3* Quincy Market...Bid $90, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $95, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $100, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINESelect 3* Copley...Bid $90, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $95, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $100, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINESelect 3* Quincy Market and Quincy Market...Bid $105, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $110, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINEBid $115, if rejected add re-bid zone2...Bid $120Any questions feel free to ask.I'll also add that if the above is rejected, or if you want to go an alternate route, i think you can get a 4* hotel in the Waterfront-Convention Center zone for under your $120 budget. It's less centrally located then the two zones above, but certainly do-able.Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Good luck and let us know how it goes.
