Priceline Hotel: 4* Las Vegas (Convention Center) Renaissance

Waited until last minute to book this trip for next weekend (7/22-7/24).

Tried 4*, Downtown, $50- fail

Tried 3 1/2*, 4* Downtown & North Strip, $60- fail

Tried 3 1/2*, 4* Downtown, South Strip & North Strip, $70- fail

Tried 3 1/2*, 4* Downtown, East of Strip, West of Strip, South Strip & North Strip, $85- accepted

First time using a name-your-own-price site. Interesting. Didn't blow my socks off but a good deal considering I'm going in a week and the dates are on a weekend. Tips on how I could have done better are welcomed.

Your originally listed this in, and that you bid, the 'Near Strip East' zone, but i believe this property is located in PRICELINE's Convention Center zone... are you sure you didn't include this zone in your bidding? You can still see the name of the zone this property is located in by viewing your winning bid confirmation page and let us know what it says under the hotel name but above the hotel address.

Best tip i can offer is to ask for help before bidding for your next hotel stay as you can bid better then you did. You don't want to add a 'live zone' (one which has the star level you're bidding) and raise your bid at the same time... either user re-bid zones (see Priceline Re-Bidding Explained) close your browser, re-access PRICELINE, and add the 'new' zone you're above to bid at a lower price then you're previous bids. Not really sure of your objective for this stay, so difficult to speak specifics for this particular bid.
