afinnie Posted July 15, 2011 Report Posted July 15, 2011 I was looking for a weekend out in Cincinnati (Downtown and Riverfront/Covington) for 7/15-7/17, so I hit up Priceline for a hotel. Apparently something is going on or I grossly underbid.Bid 4* at $55 Downtown, RejectedAdd Riverfront/Convington and upped to $60, rejectedDowngraded to 3.5*, upped to $70, rejectedAdded Cincinnati Northwest and upped to $75, rejectedAdded Cincinnati North and upped to $85, rejectedAdded Cincinnati East and upped to $100 as a last-ditch effort, and was rejected.Defeated, I wound up booking the Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza on the Hilton website at $159; $372.06 with taxes for two nights. They didn't even have the Government rate available for those dates. Neither did HOTWIRE have anything in either of those regions above 3*.
