Priceline Hotel: need for advice

Hi!

I am newbie here(from South Korea). This is the first time I post on this site.

I've been bidding on a 4*, 3.5* and 3* hotels in Copley SQ and Quincy Marcket area for more than one week but I didn't make it. I tried upto 160$ for 4* and 3.5* hotels.

I read many successful bidding stories around that amount of budget. I don't know why I didn't succeed.

Do you think I can get a good rate as time gets closer to the date I want to book?

Please help me to find good hotels at a good rate!

Rates are date specific, and the likely 'problem' with your dates is that there is a baseball game that weekend between two rival teams, the NY Yankees and the Boston Red Sox. Many will make this trip from NY to Boston to see the game, as well as Boston fans from nearby, and many of them will stay for the weekend and catch multiple games (or at least catch one game and make a weekend trip get-away from the trip)

You mention you have bid on a 3* property only mention your maximum bid for 3.5* and above... if you've bid on a 3* property how high have you bid? What is your maximum bid at each star level? What is the best deal you're able to find thru traditional booking channels?
