sportsfan27 Posted July 15, 2011 Report Posted July 15, 2011 Hey guys Im searching for a hotel near Safeco Field August 15-16.When I search on hotwire a hotel comes up at $150 for 4 stars and $123 for 3.5My 2 questions:1.) Will the price go up on both of these? should I book asap?2.) Which one is most likely to be the silver cloud hotel? which is the one I prefer. Both are within 2 miles of the stadium and have similar features.Cheers,

akgoldpanners Posted July 20, 2011 Report Posted July 20, 2011 Hi,Have you thought about staying at a hotel near the airport? I visit Seattle at least 2-3 times a year and stay at one of the many hotels on the road next to the Sea-Tac Airport. Seattle has an awesome light rail system that runs from the Sea-Tac airport into downtown (Westlake to be exact). It cost $5.00 a person for a day pass for the train. There is a station right at Safeco Field (Stadium Station) that is probably at most a 2-3 min walk to the stadium. The light rail is a popular way to get to Safeco and you will be in a large group of fans heading to the station after the game ends. The train is run by Sound Transit and is Called "Central Link Light Rail"Here is a link to then Sound Transit Page: http://www.soundtransit.org/Schedules/Cent...-light-rail.xmlThe light rail system makes Seattle very accessible. I am able to get around downtown and even over to Bainbridge Island (with help of the ferry) without renting a car.Akgoldpanners
