samfam Posted July 14, 2011 Report Posted July 14, 2011 We will be going to New York for the Labor Day holiday. I have tried a few bid runs, but have not been successful yet. The last one I believe I was up to $165 a night. We do not care what area we are in. . .the question we have been pondering is whether or not we might be more successful if we split up our stay - such as 3 nights at one hotel and 3 nights at another. Is that a better strategy than 6 continuous nights?Thoughts?
AaronJB Posted July 14, 2011 Report Posted July 14, 2011 September in NYC is generally a busier/more expensive period in the city, with nicer temps and some convention traffic. What bids have you made so far in terms of price/zone/star rating? Additionally, what would be your desired budget per night?Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.

samfam Posted July 15, 2011 Author Report Posted July 15, 2011 Thus far i have tried bidding up to 170/night including all zones exceptd for the upper west side (might be a little far from the family we are planning to visit)Ideally we are hoping to spend less than 200/night...
