Monday night was the problem. Lots of great deals available for Sunday but not Monday. Started bidding for 4* for both days and maxed out at $150 for the two nights to no avail. Then started again with 3.5*. Failed at $110 and this was my last shot at $125. (There is a 3* available on Hotwire for $146.)

I don't like that it has Stadium in the name instead of Pike Place but then again I have no concept of geography in Seattle anyway. Hopefully its not that far. :)

Used the PRICELINE link as I always do. Thanks again for this great service.

Congratulations on your success!

This property gets good pretty good reviews, but unfortunately is located a bit on the 'fringe' of being centrally located. If you're going for a game the location can't be beat, and there are places to go in the immediate area (a brewery across the street from SafeCo) and other shops and bakeries further down the street, but it is a bit of a hike to 'downtown'.

Although i haven't done it, i'm thinking on the fly and your best bet to 'real' downtown (Pike Place area) might be to get on the Light Rail at SafeCo and take it a few stops into Downtown.

Thank you for sharing your win and using the PRICELINE links on the board to begin your bidding.

Enjoy your stay.

Well after spending two days here, I'd say the whole experience is decent. The hotel itself is nice...modern, clean rooms which are a great value. We have a 42" LCD TV hanging on the wall...I haven't seen one that big in a hotel room ever.

The good: There is a Light Rail stop a few blocks away. $2.75 from the airport to the Stadium stop. From there, we called the hotel for walking directions and instead the van picked us up within 5 minutes. Although the hotel is about 1.5 miles to Pikes Place market, the van service is excellent. Once we're out, we usually stay out all day so its really no big deal in the scheme of things. And the van did pick us up promptly when we called. Our room faced another wing of rooms, so it was quiet--we had no issues with train noise that others had mentioned in published reviews. Finally, we rented a car our second day (today) to get to the Boeing tour and a helicopter tour I bought on Groupon and the parking here is $22 per night (valet) which is way less than other more centrally located hotels are charging.

The not so good: Well again...the stadium area really isn't a neighborhood. And to lump it in with Pikes Place is false advertising on Priceline's part. Plus, you have to walk several blocks to anywhere...BUT the van is always available and if you reserve it in advance you won't even have to wait.

Would I stay here again? Considering that this hotel is normally cheaper (because that Monday night in Seattle for some reason was expensive everywhere) and considering the van, its a great bang for the buck and YES I would stay here again.
