As subject says.

Ramada Inn Convention Center I-Drive - 2.5* (who assigns these?)

What a dump this place is. It's places like these that make me wonder about wisdom of using Priceline. I have been using Priceline a lot recently, and it's been mostly ok. But this is something else.

Did anyone ever complain and get money back due to really bad stay?

Edit: looks like this hotel was reviewed here previously: http://www.betterbidding.com/show.php/act/ST/f/421/t/6432

Note that it was 2* at that time, but is 2.5* now. Priceline has upgraded it, evidently. Be *very* careful when booking in this area of Orlando.

Interesting addition - the girl at the counter asked me to sign an invoice, which was an actual Priceline invoice (with their credit card on file). Evidently, Priceline paid $28 + tax (total of $32) for that room.

Not a big surprise, but definitely underscores that both "room rate" and "taxes and fees" as presented by Priceline are essentially bogus.

Thank you for sharing your results with the board... sorry to hear you didn't enjoyed your stay.

The price paid was truncated from your original post, can you please add a reply to this thread with your winning bid amount (before taxes and fees) so we can add this information to the topic title.

As a side note, PRICELINE never implies that they'll show you their cost... the room rate is the mount you chose to bid, and the 'fees and taxes' includes their booking fee.

Thank you for sharing your win with the board.

Sorry, my bid was $35 for a total Priceline price of $47 or so.

I've got quite a few really good hotels at anywhere from $35 to $50 (including real **** properties). This place is below par though, and a bit difficult to guard against. 0 stars would not describe it properly.

I hope this is not against the board rules. I'd like to post some of the images I've taken of the hotel room.

<i'll try to provide links to the photos in the near future when i have some extra time... but for multiple reasons, we don't allow hot linking >

note in particular rust and mold in the bathroom, dirty washcloth (complete with a bunch of hair) left over from previous resident, and bodily fluid stains on bedding.
