RonnieS Posted July 12, 2011 Report Posted July 12, 2011 :) I bid on a 4 star in the Las Vegas strip - south and the hotel I ended up with is the Westin Casuarina. This hotel is not on the strip and Hotwire is refusing to refund or change the trip.Beware! It was advertised as a 4 star, nearby a golf course, spa, pool, casino, restaurant, fitness center. We are very upset. It should have been in the "near strip east" category. I wouldn't take the chance using HOTWIRE again.
thereuare Posted July 13, 2011 Report Posted July 13, 2011 Welcome to BetterBidding! While i understand you're disappointed in the outcome, the zone description is not the 'rule of the land' when it comes to hotel location with both PRICELINE and HOTWIRE... it's the boundaries which are shown on the map that determine which zone a hotel is placed in. The Westin is indeed located within the boundaries of HOTWIRE's Strip South zone.If you decide to try HOTWIRE again in the future, or you give PRICELINE a try, feel free to ask the board for help before your purchase. Can you please add a reply to this thread with the room rater per nite and the date(s) of your stay so we can add this information to the topic title and enable this win to appear in the Priceline and Hotwire Calendar of Wins. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Thanks. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
