Hotwire Hotel: Rome - 9/5-9/9

Hello, I've checked the Hotwire hotel lists but I don't see anything for the 5* category in Rome Central or 3* category in Vatican, and those are the options that are currently available for my dates.

Any ideas on what hotels these might be?

Rome Central

5*

$217/night

Amenities: Internet

Vatican City area hotel

3*

$109/night

Amenities: Restaurant, Internet

Unfortunately neither of these properties have been reported to the board and as most hotels at each of the star ratings would have the amenities listed, i don't think we'll be able to gain much insight into this one.

I will however point out that the 5* property only has a 65% recommendation from previous HOTWIRE guests, and while Rome is an expensive city, $200+ seems like a lot for a property with mediocre reviews.

Thank you for your response. I think I'm going to try Priceline and if I can't get a good price, then I did get a friend's recommendation for a B&B that has a reasonable rate. Rome is an expensive city!!!

I ended up staying in a B&B that my friend recommended. It was called Zen Trastevere and it was actually a fanstastic B&B... highly recommended.
