wings9130 Posted July 10, 2011 Report Posted July 10, 2011 I am going to Chicago on the 30th for a night. My friends booked on priceline separately because they are staying 2 nights. they have the Hilton Palmer House for $100 from 7/29-7/31. I think they bid too much. I want to do it for $80 as that seems like it could be accepted. I notice some people are getting the Hyatt and am afraid I will get a different hotel than them. Does the price make any difference in which hotel I get through priceline? I feel like people who bid 70-80 are getting the Hyatt and people who bid $90+ are getting the Hilton Palmer House.
AaronJB Posted July 10, 2011 Report Posted July 10, 2011 There is no way to know which hotel you may get and if you bid higher to attempt to avoid and/or get a particular property, you could definitely wind up overbidding. What appears to be the Palmer is showing at $110 on HOTWIRE; I'm guessing $85-90 may be what it takes for these dates, but $80 is worth trying. Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
