I will definitely use the links to bid as suggested.

My budget is around 150-200 a night. Anything more and I'll have to resort to a B&B :)

As you point out demand, and rates, are quite high for these dates.

I think this will be a tough win at $200 or under, but to give it a try:

At the 4* level you have ONE re-bid zone. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.

Select 4* Venice...

Bid $150, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $160

If the above is rejected wait 24 yours and try $170/$180, if that too is rejected wait 24 hours and try $190/$200
