BrendaBonk
First bid $33 for a downtown Portland hotel at 3*. No go. Offered to get me a place for a $9 raise. I didn't but instead added NW Portland (no 3* in the area) and upped to $35 and was accepted. I'm not sure if it's just me but I feel that I get better prices at the last minute -- I'm leaving for Portland today.I have stayed at the Holiday Inn Portland before and wasn't impressed. Hope it's better this time.Your Offer Price: $35.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 2 Subtotal: $70.00 Taxes and Service Fees: $16.49 Total Charges: $86.49 Link to comment
thereuare
Thank you for sharing your win with the board. There are lots of different philosophies as to when to bid, but i find that waiting until the last minute causes panic decisions on hard to book dates and you're always better off wiht time on your side.
