beckman4463 Posted May 27, 2005 Report Posted May 27, 2005 What rating was Towneplace Suites? I tried 3 times to get a 2 1/2 star hotel this past week in College Station (hoping for the Hilton), bidding 45, 50, 55 and all rejected. I did not want to pay more and get a hotel I was unsatisfied or lower my star rating (since I did not know which hotels were considered 2* in this area).I ended up making a reservation through Travelocity for Vineyard Court $89 (5/25-5/26). It was a large King suite. We loved our stay and prefer it to Hilton, which was running $169/night on their site. The Vineyard Court has fantastic personnel, all rooms open to a courtyard filled with plants and a swimming pool. Your stay includes evening social hour and breakfast. Although $89 is much more than I usually spend on a priceline hotel, it was well worth it.
