AaronJB Posted July 3, 2011 Report Posted July 3, 2011 Good evening. :)Please provide a follow-up for your Amelia Island Priceline thread (post what you decided for that stay within that thread, then reply to this thread.)Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.

thereuare Posted July 5, 2011 Report Posted July 5, 2011 I did see that Brooklyn and UES have 4* hotels. Could you please confrim by rebid zones as:Coney IslandLong IslandMadison Square GardenQueensborough BridgeThe above FOUR are re-bid zones, but you actually have FIVE re-bid zones at the 4* level in NYC, please confirm your 5th re-bid zone and we'll suggest a strategy for you to follow. If you're not able to determine your 5th re-bid zone just post back listing each zone in the area and the highest star level you believe to be offered in each zone. Also, when you reply, please confirm this is a 2 nite stay, 8/15-8/17, as opposed to just a one nite stay on 8/15.Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. gogators Posted July 5, 2011 Author Report Posted July 5, 2011 UES is my 5th rebid zone. And yes, this is for a 2 night stay 8/15/11 and 8/16/11. Thanks!
thereuare Posted July 6, 2011 Report Posted July 6, 2011 You now have your re-bid zones correct :) ... but always double check just before bidding to make sure that nothing has changed since you last checked.Based upon current prices i think $150 or under is going to be tough for a 4* on these dates, but to give it a try with your FIVE re-bid zones...Select 4* MTE, MTW, TS and ESB...Bid $110, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $115, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $120, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $125, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $130, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINESelect 4* CPS...Bid $110, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $115, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $120, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $125, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $130, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINESelect 4* MTE, MTW, CPS, TS and ESBBid $135, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $140, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $143, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $145, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $148, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $150Any questions feel free to ask. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Good luck and let us know how it goes. gogators Posted July 17, 2011 Author Report Posted July 17, 2011 The hotels on Hotwire are pretty expensive for this time. I bid though PRICELINE as suggested, up to $200.00 with no luck. I ended up booking the Algonquin with my state discount for $224.00 a night. Thanks for all of your help!
