thereuare
You can continue to bid on PRICELINE and search HOTWIRE, but if rates remain at current levels i think it will be difficult to beat your back-up reservation. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Keep us updated and let us know if we can be of any help along the way. mjp1410
Prices at HOTWIRE are back down again. Standard SUV is now $42 and Full Size car is now $49. Where do you think I should start Price line bidding? Thanks. Link to comment
thereuare
Those are 'retail' rates where if you click thru you'll see the name of the rental company. Given the lack of availability at HOTWIRE,, it's PRICELINE may be a though win too. If you don't have a back-up reservation yet the first thing i would do is book one of these as they're almost always refundable (always double check the terms of what you're booking), often you don't even need to supply a credit card (although it's good karma to cancel the reservation if you won't be using it, rather then just being a no-show, so that the rental company can better manage their inventory and perhaps another user can rent the vehicle they'd otherwise be holding for you)In terms of bidding, i'd start with $25 for either a full size or SUV... then increase $3-$5 every 24 hours until you approach your back-up rate. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Good luck and let us know how it goes.
