hcca2012 Posted July 6, 2011 Report Posted July 6, 2011 we are traveling to NY at this time, and would like to stay as convenient as possible since our daughter( 6year old) are traveling with US.Please advise how to bid.175 for 4* MTW got rejected.
AaronJB Posted July 6, 2011 Report Posted July 6, 2011 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)Please provide your desired budget per night. Additionally, are you only looking for a property in MTW, or would other zones also be acceptable?Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
thereuare Posted July 6, 2011 Report Posted July 6, 2011 Also, note that PRICELINE only guarantees double occupancy, after that it's at the discretion of the hotel, and you could receive a room with only one bed. While you can call the hotel you win and request a room with two beds, the hotel may not be able, or willing, to honor your request. This is generally considered especially risky in NYC since rooms are notoriously small and therefore hotels have a high percentage of rooms with only one bed (and little or no space for a rollaway). Is this a risk you're willing to accept? If not, HOTWIRE may still be an option as they allow you to search for up to quad occupancy and ensure sleeping accommodations for everyone you include in your search (although this usually means two beds, the second 'bed' could be a sofabed, rollaway, etc)Let us know how you'd like to proceed and we'll take it from there. hcca2012 Posted July 8, 2011 Author Report Posted July 8, 2011 I am aiming 4*. right now I bid up to 192@MTW, and still failed.
thereuare Posted July 8, 2011 Report Posted July 8, 2011 Currently these are expensive nites in Manhattan, and while it won't guarantee success, is there a reason you're only bidding the MTW zone... the zones in NYC are so compact that most midtown zones typically all work well for the average user. How high are you willing to bid before lowering your star rating to 3.5* and/or considering nearby zones. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
