I know the 4 star properties in Vail are either the Marriot Lionshead or Vail Cascade Club but I have no idea what the 4.5 star is.

I ended up doing the 4* which for this time was the Lodge at Vail for $148 a night from Dec 17-23. 4.5* for $197 a night for the same dates likely would've been The Sebastian which is nicer but farther from the slope.

Also, just stayed in Vail from 6/26-6/29 for 4* for $85 a night on Hotwire. It was the Vail Cascade club.
