mcgivey Posted July 3, 2011 Report Posted July 3, 2011 Ideally, we would like to stay in the Hyatt Place, but I know that there are quite a 3 star's in Dublin. What would you suggest an opening bid be and what increments are best? We are also open to try for the 3.5* in dublin (which I believe is the Embassy Suites), but again, I am not sure what amount to bid. Thanks!
AaronJB Posted July 4, 2011 Report Posted July 4, 2011 What would be your desired budget per night for this stay?Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
mcgivey Posted July 4, 2011 Author Report Posted July 4, 2011 Ideally, under 55$ night. We would be happy to go up to $70 a night for the hyatt place or Embassy Suites...since a@larger suite appeals to us as we have 2 kids. Also, if these budgeted amounts don't seem reasonable, our dates are flexible if it helps. We do want to stay away from the 3.5 star Crowne Plaza in North Columbus as we stayed there a few months ago and it was quite dissapointing. Thanks for your help!
thereuare Posted July 4, 2011 Report Posted July 4, 2011 The Embassy Suites has not yet been reported to the board in this zone, so we can't determine if this, or how many other possibilities there are, at the 3.5* level. With this uncertainly, what would you like to try for first... a 3.5* hotel up to $70 or a 3* hotel up to $55?Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. mcgivey Posted July 4, 2011 Author Report Posted July 4, 2011 I think I will try the 3.5 star in Dublin up to 70. That way the board can have a newly reported hotel too if I clinch it. What do you think as far as starting bid and increments?

mcgivey Posted July 4, 2011 Author Report Posted July 4, 2011 Went up to $70 a night on the 3.5 star with no luck. I guess I will give the 3 star a try. What would you suggest a starting bid be at?
thereuare Posted July 4, 2011 Report Posted July 4, 2011 At the 3* level you have FOUR re-bid zones. mcgivey Posted July 4, 2011 Author Report Posted July 4, 2011 Was hoping for the Hyatt Place, but am happy with this deal. $53 a night for Chase Suites via HOTWIRE link. We will get to try something new. Thanks!
mcgivey Posted July 4, 2011 Author Report Posted July 4, 2011 Well, since my 3.5 star didn't work out, I decided to go with a hotwire deal on a 3* in Dublin for $53/nt. It ended up being the Chase Suites Hotel. Of course, I used your HOTWIRE link.
