Priceline Hotel: Looking for 4* in central ROME

Hi, I'm looking for a 4* in Central Rome or Vatican area, Aug 31 - Sept 5. I see a 4.5* hidden name on hotwire for $255, but that is all. Am I searching correctly?

I'm looking for something around the $150 mark; I haven't tried bidding on Priceline. Can someone give me a hand?

I'm not sure $150 will be enough for a 4* hotel in these zones, but with time on your side you can begin by trying a few low ball bids at first as follows:

Bid $100, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINE...

Select 4* Vatican...

Bid $100, if rejected add Rome Central...

I won on priceline a $105 room at the Morgana for Aug 25-27 and someone else won it at $100. Specify central rome in PRICELINE.
