Hi to everyone your site seems to be the business when it comes to helping folks get started with scoring great hotel deals.

I have looked at the HOTWIRE site thru the link here and see that it is the easier to search and come up with a number of hotel options just by putting in my dates and also I'm able to adjust the bed options which is very good as we generally travel as a family of three requiring two beds.

When I attempt to use the PRICELINE link also thru this site I come to the pointg that I am asked to make a bid but I don't in fear that I will be sealing the deal at this point.

After entering my area choice and star value can I enter a bid with no fear of being held to it? Is there another step after this that completes the deal?

As you can tell things are not real clear to me yet.

Thank you,

Joe

You're "ok" as long as 1) you haven't entered any credit card information yet, and 2) you don't click a button which states "Buy My Hotel Room Now".

Once you click the "Buy My Hotel Room Now" button, if you're bid is accepted, you then own it.

What city, zones, dates and star rating are you seeking?

My budget would be, including any resort fees plus extra charges for an additional person, is around 150 a night. I understand the extra person charge would need to be negotiated with the hotel which are usually set from 20 to 30 a night at least that is what I'm noticing and these are not a given, the resort fees are in the same catagory.

I would be bidding between 90 to 100.

Thank you Aaron for jumping in.

Trump would not be a favorite however Wynn, Encore, Venetian and Palazzo would be

I'm doubtful that $90-$100 will be enough for a 5* property in the Strip North zone, but if you want to give it a try:

At the 5* level you have ELEVEN re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.

Select 5* Strip North...

Bid $73, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $75, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $78, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $80, if rejected add re-bid zone...
