BobbyJones Posted June 28, 2011 Report Posted June 28, 2011 Hi!I found this forum earlier today via Google and I have been reading all the FAQ's and so forth but I'm still somewhat confused. Would anybody be willing to help out a beginner with bidding? I would like to get the best possible price for a 3* or 4* hotel in the Markham area during the dates of July 13th-23rd.Thank you.
thereuare Posted June 28, 2011 Report Posted June 28, 2011 Welcome to BetterBidding! Are you willing to pay more for a 4* vs. a 3* OR is your goal the least expensive 3* or better for this stay? So we don't suggest a strategy which goes higher then you're willing to pay, what is your maximum bid for this stay? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. BobbyJones Posted June 28, 2011 Author Report Posted June 28, 2011 I would to pay around $65-70 for a 3*. Would this include parking and taxes? Also could I get 2 queen beds? Is this possible? Thanks!

BobbyJones Posted June 29, 2011 Author Report Posted June 29, 2011 I already did earlier, but I just did it again.
thereuare Posted June 29, 2011 Report Posted June 29, 2011 You can't guarantee room configuration / bed type when using PRICELINE... all that is guaranteed is a room which will accommodate double occupancy. See the related link in our PRICELINE FAQ.Is this a deal breaker for you or a risk you're willing to accept? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. BobbyJones Posted June 29, 2011 Author Report Posted June 29, 2011 Oh, that's right! I forgot about that section. I think I may have to pass because I need a guaranteed room to fit more than 2 people. However, when I travel by myself, I know where to return! By the way, I'll try using your links to book my hotel. Thanks for all your help.
thereuare Posted June 29, 2011 Report Posted June 29, 2011 HOTWIRE may still be an option for you as they allow you to search for up to quad occupancy. While this usually means two beds, the second 'bed' could be a pullout sofabed, rollaway, etc.If you do book direct, please check our support page where we have links to most of the major hotel chains and online booking agencies, please check for and use the links there whenever possible. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Thanks.
