JNBright Posted June 27, 2011 Report Posted June 27, 2011 I am looking for 2 rooms in Vegas for 9/16-/918. I would like a 3 star or higher hotel and any want to spend about $80-$90 per night per room ( I am willing to go to $100 if i have too but with the typical $20 resort fee I would rather not). I want it on the strip and i would prefer it not to be Circus Circus or Excalibur. I want to use the HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links through the board. Does any one have an idea of what hotel I would/could get for this price?
thereuare Posted June 27, 2011 Report Posted June 27, 2011 Welcome to BetterBidding! While you don't want Circus Circus, is that entire section of the strip off-limits... would the Riviera and/or Stratosphere be acceptable? What about the Imperial Palace? You also mention that you want the hotel to be on the Strip, but is the Westin, which is in PRICELINE's Strip South zone, but slightly off-strip, acceptable?Let us know the above and we'll take it from there. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. JNBright Posted June 27, 2011 Author Report Posted June 27, 2011 I would prefer one of the new/nicer hotels. I have issues at the imperial palace before with service and would like not to repeat that again. After thinking about it I really want north strip but I am just not sure if I can get it for that weekend on my budget. I have already tried both PRICELINE and they denied by bids for up to $100, I was going to try again later. Any thoughts?
AaronJB Posted June 27, 2011 Report Posted June 27, 2011 There's no way to guarantee a newer property, or other amenity - using HOTWIRE to try and narrow down a particular property may be a better option in this case. Are you seeing any listings of interest when searching for these date/s on HOTWIRE?Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
thereuare Posted June 28, 2011 Report Posted June 28, 2011 Given that there are hotels in each zone that you want to avoid, i don't think you should continue bidding on PRICELINE... you're only real option is HOTWIRE and trying to successfully ID a hotel before purchase; however, currently everything shown at HOTWIRE is over your budget. You're going to need to make a decision between your budget vs. what you want. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
