AAG Posted June 27, 2011 Report Posted June 27, 2011 winning bid was $140 per night which made a total for 3 nights plus taxes = $515.70started out bidding at around 100.... at 130 PRICELINE "suggested" bidding 165, but I just kept raising it by 5.00 each time.Hopefuly it is a decent Hotel for my first ever trip to New York! (for now location seems good to me!)Thanks.
thereuare Posted June 27, 2011 Report Posted June 27, 2011 Congratulations on your success!This is a 'decent' hotel... it was better when it was run by the Affinia Group, but rooms are large by NYC standards (it was a former apartment building converted to a hotel, so most rooms are the size of small NYC apartments and include a refrigerator and kitchenette area) and is clean. The hotel is also a bit east, but certainly do-able, and you're also not too far from my often recommended Ess-A-Bagel on Third Ave (at 51st St) which has one of the better bagels in the city and makes for a nice, relatively inexpensive, breakfast among local NYers.Thank you for sharing your win with the board.Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Enjoy your stay.
