Wyomingtraveler Posted June 26, 2011 Report Posted June 26, 2011 Hi allI just discovered that I made a mistake on a previous reservation and was unable to use Priceline to add an extra night. In any event I came to this site to use PRICELINE link to start a new reservation. This go around I did not have time on my side, so I started with a higher bid than I previously did for my other reservation. Below are the results, as well as my strategy. 3* Denver (Downtown) Courtyard by Marriott Denver for $55 on July 2, 2011. The total including taxes is $69.89. Not sure if this hotel charges for parking, but I am guessing that to be case, as this hotel is downtown and parking is at a premium. I started by bidding at $45 in the downtown zone. I was given the option of $15 to my bid for $60, but I did not accept there ploy. The then added Northeast Denver at $50. After that I added Northglen-Thorton for $53. I then added I70-Airport West for $55. Of course that did was accepted. While I would have liked to have been at the same hotel for my entire stay, it is not the end of the world. I will just pack up my belongings and check-out when I leave to go shopping and site sighting for the day on Saturday. I will then check-in at the new hotel before walking to Coors Field for the baseball game. Word to the wise triple check your dates when making reservation, no matter if on Priceline or another site, so you don't make the same mistake.
