Priceline Hotel: Resort Lake Tahoe (Incline Village) Hyatt Regency *Help*

Hi All,

I'm relatively new to Priceline and found this forum to be very helpful so far. I'm currently booking some hotels for my upcoming honeymoon. I've already booked 2 and am looking to book the last one in Lake Tahoe. I've targeted the Hyatt Regency Resort in the Incline Region which I know is the only resort in Lake Tahoe. I figured out that I can attempt to book twice by selecting the specific region and then extending to all regions every 24 hours. (Double that accounting that both my fiancee and I have priceline accounts.)

I noticed that there have been recent bids in the $80-$90 range that have won. Yesterday I completed bids from $100-$135 and today did bids from $135-$175 and was very surprised that none of those bids were accepted for 8-19 to 8-22. Does anyone know why those bids aren't being accepted? Or how I can manage to make more bids for that resort in a 24 hour period? Do I need to wait closer to my date?

Any help/info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Alan

Welcome to BetterBidding!

Were the previous two bookings on PRICELINE and/or HOTWIRE... if so, please share your wins with the board (each as a NEW TOPIC) so that others can benefit from the information, just as you have benefited from those who posted before you. :)

While this may be the only 'Resort' class property reported to the board, there could always be others... see the comments at the top of the Priceline Hotel List.

Please post your previous wins (assuming they were made on PRICELINE or HOTWIRE) and then click this PRICELINE link and reply to this thread, we'll have a look at your stay above.

Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.

PS- congratulations on your upcoming nuptials :)

Alan,

I tried to win this resort as well on 8/9-8/12 with no luck either. I gave up after bidding $185 and didn't get it. We booked two nights at the Peppermill in Reno for $41 via HOTWIRE and one night at Harrahs South Shore for $140 plus taxes via PRICELINE. Not on the north shore but works for us as we have another place there for several other nights. Seems like the Hyatt is very full that time of year so don't know if you will win a bid or not. $350 per night was the going rate. Crazy. Good luck. Also, the Hyatt is a very nice property if you get it.

I see your Hotwire Reno purchase on the board, but not your Harrahs purchase... if Harrahs was via PRICELINE's "Name Your Own Price" can you please add this win to the board as a NEW TOPIC so that others will be aware of your win when searching the topic titles on the board and in the Priceline and Hotwire Calendar of Wins, and can benefit from the information.

Thanks.
