Priceline Hotel: San juan Intercontinental help needed

First time on Priceline and woud like help on how to bid to make sure I get the intercontinenal San Juan. Thanks

There is no way to ensure a particular property when bidding. One of the trade-offs for the discounted rates is that you have to be willing to accept any property at the star rating you bid on. Are you only interested in the Intercontinental, or would you be okay with other hotels in the area? Please provide your dates of travel, as well.

Im set on the intercontinental and the dates are 7/26/2011 to 7/30/2011

I just won on priceline the intercontinental today for $95 on 9/11-9/12. Just pick "resort", bid and cross your fingers. Or spend more $$$ to guarantee the hotel, their rooms start at $144 on their web site.

If the Inter-Continetnal is the only hotel you're willing to accept then PRICELINE / HOTWIRE is probably not the right service for you since you have to give up choosing your hotel in exchange for a deeply discounted rate.

If you're willing to accept a little risk, i think the InterContinental can be had for $120-$130... is this within your budget and/or are you willing to take the chance... OR do you prefer to just book the InterContinetnal directly for $161/nite for your dates?

Thanks for the help. I spent a lot ot time on the forum and got a pretty good education. I have decided to take my chances on HOTWIRE and hope for the best. Want to say thanks for the help and i will book from this forum

If you search HOTWIRE for your dates for 4adults there is a 4* hotel offered for $129/nite (your rate may differ slightly) with:

Resort, Beachfront, Casino, Pool, Restaurant, Business, Laundry, Internet, Tennis, Spa

This amenity combination matches previous reports for the InterContinental so that would be my best guess for this one.

I just got another priceline win at the Intercontinental, this time it was a Saturday night and I had to go up to $105 a night.
