Rick1 Posted June 25, 2011 Report Posted June 25, 2011 Hey,I am new to all this so excuse my naivety. Me and my Fiancee are looking for a week in NYC in Feb. We are not majorly bothered about the hotel but do not want a hostel. We are on a small budget of around
AaronJB Posted June 25, 2011 Report Posted June 25, 2011 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)Please provide your desired budget for the hotel portion of your stay, as well as which PRICELINE zones you would be interested in bidding on. Feb is traditionally around the slowest period of the year in NYC, and with one exception (fashion week, which occurs right after your stay next year), prices are usually lower than usual.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
Rick1 Posted June 26, 2011 Author Report Posted June 26, 2011 Hello,We would be willing to pay around
Rick1 Posted June 26, 2011 Author Report Posted June 26, 2011 Yes I dont think we will be in the room much so would be happy with a 3* or even the milford plaza which is down as a 2* as I have heard it is in a great location and the hotel is not too bad.The cheaper the better as far as were concerned so we have more money over there to spend.
Rick1 Posted July 1, 2011 Author Report Posted July 1, 2011 Hey,I could really use help with a hotel for Feb 1st - 8th. I understand it is not very easy to book a week in one hotel so would maybe consider moving once if needed. My budget is around

thereuare Posted July 13, 2011 Report Posted July 13, 2011 Rates are not high for these dates and rather than 'anywhere in manhattan' would suggest starting with the most centralized zones as i think it will be more convenient for a one week stay.If you look at the PRICELINE zones you're ok with ESB, MSG, MTE, MTW, TS? Is a $100 US budget per nite (before taxes and fees) acceptable?Have you confirmed your flights? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Rick1 Posted July 13, 2011 Author Report Posted July 13, 2011 Yes flights are now confirmed :)I would prefer it abit cheaper if possible as we are students and a little light on money but If that is the best price I will get then I can probably stretch to this.
thereuare Posted July 14, 2011 Report Posted July 14, 2011 Assuming you're ok with the zones above (ESB, MSG, MTE, MTW, TS), a 15 minute walk to the subway is acceptable, and a small room is sufficient, i'd try as follows:At the 3* level you have ONE re-bid zone. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select 3* MTW, TS, MSG...Bid $65, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINESelect 3* ESB and MTE...Bid $65, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINESelect 3* MTW, ESB, MSG...Bid $70, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINESelect 3* TS and MTE...Bid $70, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINESelect 3* ESB, TS, MSG...Bid $75, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINESelect 3*MTW and MTE...Bid $75, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINESelect 3* ESB, TS, MSG and MTW...Bid $80, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINESelect 3* ESB, TS, MSG and MTE...Bid $80, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINESelect MTW and MTE and ESB and TSBid $85, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINESelect MTW and MTE and ESB and MSGBid $85, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINESelect MTW and MTE and ESB and TS and MSGBid $90, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $95Any questions feel free to ask. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Good luck and let us know how it goes.
