Just booked Sheraton Chicago Hotel and Towers for 7/29-7/31 at $127/room+ taxes= 3 rooms, 6 adults,6 kids

Decided to add a night on the front end and got 7/28 for $106/room.

90% recommended

Very good deal for this property, which is in a great location! If you could post your separate purchase at the different price as a new thread, that would be greatly appreciated.

A couple of notes:

There is a Walgreens across the street of this property and a Dominicks on the opposite corner to the NW. Both are good suggestions for cheaper (than the hotel) snacks and drinks. Additionally, I highly recommend Fox and Obel Market and Cafe (fox-obel.com) which is a very nice upscale market and cafe - that's a couple of blocks West of this property, on the corner of Illinois and McClurg.

I wouldn't expect a lakeview upgrade, but if you want, you can call and ask for a room on a high floor facing North or South; a high floor in either of those directions should give a good view of the surrounding area and possibly either partial lake or river view.

Thanks for the extra info---any suggestions on parking options near hotel and the PRICES? Seems a variety of parking but can't find any costs.....

There are a number of outside lots and a couple of interior garages within the blocks around the hotel - not sure of exact prices, but you're likely looking at $27-37.

Navy Pier is another alternative - NP is $20-24 per night, according to the NP website. That's about a 5 minute walk from the hotel.
