Started bidding at 3.5 stars in Millennium Park zone at $70(...I was hoping to hit some lower successful bid amounts I received in priceline emails about a week or so ago)

Did my bidding based on the tip of adding the locations without the star rating you want and increasing your bid in smaller increments technique going up by $5 and adding Greater Chicago and NMA zones. When I hit $95 for a 3.5* but was rejected I did some more digging and pricing on hotwire, priceline, Expedia and tripadvisor.

Came back and decided to start the bidding where I left off at $90 but in Greater Chicago zone only this time and with 3 stars. Rejected.

Decided I didn't want to hit $100 tonight and would bid one last time tonight....

Went up to $95 3* and added both Millennium Park and NMA.

$95 accepted. NMA zone Holiday Inn Chicago Mart Plaza.

Subtotal: $285.00

Taxes and Fees: $53.91

Total Charges*: $338.91

I believe Hotwire has it for $104/night as the 3* hotel Magnificent Mile Area - Streeterville area hotel with fitness, pool, restaurants, business areas, laundry and internet.

Most websites such as Holiday Inn's direct website, Orbitz and Expedia have it for $169 a night. I wonder if I could have gotten it for the $90 but I
