Apvny Posted June 17, 2011 Report Posted June 17, 2011 Newbie looking for help. Im looking for a hotel 3.5* +. (cheap is most important but I do want somthing nice atleast a 3.5*) I prefer Times Square but would take MTE, MTW AND CPS. MSG AND ESB ONLY IF ITS ALOT CHEAPER. My main question is could someone let me know how much im looking at for a room on 6/30/11 which is a Thursday night? Also do I need to add MSG and ESB for cheaper prices or do I already have enough areas? Its about 2 weeks away is that to soon or to late to get the best deal? Any futher advice for a newbie will be greatly app. I will post my future winning bid.Thank you
thereuare Posted June 17, 2011 Report Posted June 17, 2011 Welcome to BetterBidding!HOTWIRE has a 3.5* hotel in the MTC zone for $115/nite with Restaurant, Fitness, Internet and a Tripadvisor rating of 3.5/5.0. These amenities are common for NYC but my best guess is that this is the Club Quarters Midtown. Would this be acceptable for your one nite stay? If so, you don't have to worry about adding your secondary zones and can lower your maximum bid amount accordingly.Assuming this is acceptable, do you just want to go with this deal, try Times Square up to $xx (let us know the amount), then if rejected add your other acceptable zones up to $xx (let us know the above), then if that is rejected take the HOTWIRE offer.Let us know your thoughts and we'll take it from there. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Apvny Posted June 17, 2011 Author Report Posted June 17, 2011 Wow thats great. Since I have time ill probally throw a few more bids on priceline and see what happens. My last bid for a 3.5-4* at $106 got rejected but I got a message saying I could make a second bid if I added $25. Of coarse I didnt do it.
