I'm using priceline to get a couple rooms for vegas. Priceline only guarantees 2 to a room. I was wondering what people's experiences were when trying to get a double bed and 4 people in a room. I know it depends on a lot of factors, but the weekend I am looking to go isn't a holiday weekend but I would be staying at a 5* on a Friday and Saturday. Any help is greatly appreciated...

I know it depends on a lot of factors...

You hit the nail on the head, there are so many factors involved that i don't think the experience of anyone else will necessarily translate to your own stay.

The most determining factors are hotel policy, occupancy levels and the mood of the check-in clerk. At the 5* hotels in Vegas it's become standard policy that occupancy more than two is an additional charge for $30/pp per nite... a similar $30 charge is often required when it's just double occupancy but wanting separate beds in the room. Many have been charged, some have had their requests met with no additional feel, and some have tipped at check-in to avoid the charge (and still others have been refused a complimentary upgrade when tipping)

Let us know how you'd like to proceed and we'll take it from there. If you decide the HOTWIRE route let us know how many rooms/adults/children you're including on your search and if the same property as above is still appearing.
