hawaiilove Posted June 16, 2011 Report Posted June 16, 2011 Hi, just looking for some bidding help for February 2012. I tried today to bid on several different combinations using Resort, 3.5 and 3 star along with Sea World - I-Drive - Convention Center and Downtown Disney areas. The highest I bid was $54, the lowest was $35 and did not have any success. Am I too early to be able to win anything? Could you provide me with some bidding strategies? I don't care which area we stay in as we will be visiting both Disney and Universal/Sea World, and we will have a car. I would ideally not like to spend more than $60/night, and don't want anything lower than a 3 star - for the high end of my price range, would prefer a 3.5 star!!Thanks so much! :)
AaronJB Posted June 16, 2011 Report Posted June 16, 2011 It's definitely moderately early to look into these dates. They do appear on the expensive side, but rates may change between now and your stay. If $60 is your max budget, I'd suggest bidding up to $60 once a week for a few months and if you get into the Fall (September or so) without acceptance, then you could look into lower star ratings or moving your "ceiling" up slightly over time.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
Mister305 Posted June 17, 2011 Report Posted June 17, 2011 The NBA All Star Game will be in town around this time.. Check HOTWIRE to compare prices and make a more informed bid.
