I booked a 4.5* hotel in boston, that turned out to be the Intercontinental for August 6 and 7.

Price $157.94 per night.

I took a bit of a caluculated risk that it was indeed the Intercontinental that i'd get because it was the only 4.5* with a pool in thatI could find through Hotels.com and Expedia. The risk was that Hotwire used the same star system. (phew)

I need another night for the 8th, however had i booked all three nights at once, the rate was $220 per night. I'm noticing that the price has been fluctuating for the 8th between $217 and $240 and i'll keep my eye out to see if it lowers (or i may just move to another hotel for around 150++) however, it would have been a big mistake to book all 3 nights at once.

Oh, and i forgot to change the number of guests when i booked, so i called the hotel immediately when I saw the confirmation email from Hotwire and was told to call back and ask for the "manager on duty". I called and got a VERY FRIENDLY lady on the phone who happily put the request for 2 beds on file.

(PS...I should note that the price is in Canadian dollars.)
