carolinek99 Posted June 16, 2011 Report Posted June 16, 2011 Hello! My husband and I have recently decided to take a trip to New York City in August before he starts law school. We are looking for a STEAL of a deal! We are looking at 4-star hotels in Times Square, Midtown East, Midtown West, and Madison Square Garden. We are hoping to spend less than $150/night- is this possible? What is a good bidding strategy for Priceline to go by? Thanks for the help!!
thereuare Posted June 16, 2011 Report Posted June 16, 2011 Welcome to BetterBidding!Note that PRICELINE does not currently offer 4* bidding in the MSG zone so that won't be an option for this stay if you're going to stick with 4* and higher hotels. Before suggesting a biding strategy, have you also looked at ESB and/or CPS? At the 4* level these zones also typically work well for the average user, and including all acceptable zones gives more hotels the opportunity to accept your bid price, but ultimately it's your stay and you need to be comfortable with where you're staying.Let us know regarding the zones and we'll suggest a strategy for you to follow. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
