3.5* Silver Cloud Inn Broadway in Seattle (Downtown - Pike Place), $153 for the night of 7/16/11. With taxes, $189.06 total on HOTWIRE.

At first I was bummed to get this because it's not really in downtown, near the concert we're going to. And I was afraid that I'd sort of overpaid. Their website lists an internet special for the same night of $169 for a king bed (what we want). So I only saved $16 (plus a little on taxes).

But upon looking at their website, I see some upsides to staying here - the whole property is non-smoking, checkout's not unitl noon, and there's free internet and Aveda bath products. They have a shuttle that can drop us off downtown, and I think even pick us up? Also, I'll be supporting a local/regional company instead of some huge global chain, which is good in my book.

So ideally we'd be closer into downtown, but I'm not going to stress about it too much and just enjoy the trip.
