rental car priceline

Hi all,

I am new to beterbidding and priceline and I want to try to rent a car through this system.

I have 2 questions about this:

First of all, how do I place a bid? I know if I want to get a hotel I go to priceline and click on 'name you own price'.

Is this also how I place a bid on a rental car? Or do I click on 'save on car hire'?

Once I know how to do this, I have another question:

What about insurance? Is this standard if you make a bid on a rental car and win?

And what kind of insurance? I know if you book at alamo regularly you get insurance for both your own car as well as the car you crash into.

Is that also standard if you rent a car through this bidding system?

I would appreciate any answers.
