f2fpt Posted June 12, 2011 Report Share Posted June 12, 2011 I was very disappointed this afternoon to learn that the hidden hotel price was the same as the posted standard rate on Hotwire's site as well as all the other online travel agents. I called Hotwire Customer Service and they said that 9 times out of 10 this will not happen, but they would not refund the charge. They stated it was based on availability of the local area, but this was not the only hotel that was available. I thought I was getting a Holiday Inn Express, but it ended up being a 2.5 star Comfort Inn. I at least thought the room would be discounted since it was "hidden," but this is not always the case. Anyone ever had this problem before? Link to comment

f2fpt Posted July 31, 2011 Author Report Share Posted July 31, 2011 Room Rate $64 before taxes, $77 with taxes and fees.Date of Stay, June 14th, 2011 for one night.Amenities include:Complimentary Breakfast Fitness Center Pool(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities (self-service) Golf Nearby No elevator in building, old, but decent workout area. Initial room received was definitely not the best offered in the hotel as promised by Hotwire. First room had non-functional refrigerator, but at least the hotel staff was responsive.
