ChrisUSA Posted June 11, 2011 Report Posted June 11, 2011 Newbie looking for a greater than 3 star hotel in Downtown Montreal. Since we are 2 adults and 2 kids I am using Hotwire. I find a 3.5 Star for $85 (not sure of currency). I am looking for Jun 21 to Jun 24 2011. Should I just book it or are there alternate strategies for me. It is a wedding so waiting too long is not an option. Any help is much appreciated.
AaronJB Posted June 12, 2011 Report Posted June 12, 2011 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)HOTWIRE offers a set of discounted listings (amenities, zone, star rating, price). There are more details about both PRICELINE and HOTWIRE at I've Never Used Priceline or Hotwire. If you would like us to try to help ID the listing, please provide the zone, amenities and star rating.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.

ChrisUSA Posted June 12, 2011 Author Report Posted June 12, 2011 Location is downtown Montreal, the hotel has 3.5* and has a fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center and High-Speed Internet. How do I find out the difference between 3* and 3.5*?Thanks for the help.
thereuare Posted June 12, 2011 Report Posted June 12, 2011 These amenities are common for a city hotel, but the Gouverneur Place Dupuis has previously been seen with this amenity set so that would be my best guess for this one.Unfortunately star ratings are subjective and there isn't too much concrete difference between a 3.5* and a 3*... it's more based on 'overall feel' and 'user feedback and experience'. For example, HOTWIRE states the following for 3 star properties:These mid-range hotels offer a relaxed and inviting environment. Extra amenities and clean rooms will make your stay comfortable.and the following for 3.5 star properties:These quality hotels feature an enhanced level of service and comfort compared to similar establishments in the 3-star category. Guests have access to a range of amenities with occasional fees. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help.
