r2thej Posted May 19, 2005 Report Posted May 19, 2005 I started at $85 coastal and downtown and began adding free rebids in $5 increments up to $105. Gave up at that point...Now considering dropping down to 3* :) Any sugestions?
thereuare Posted May 19, 2005 Report Posted May 19, 2005 Welcome to BetterBidding!Have you seen hotel direct prices for the above dates?Look at HOTWIRE, Hyatt, and Hilton... you'll see that most of the hotels are sold-out for these dates and the few that are available are much more expensive than usualy.Have you checked EasyClickTravel and/or Quikbook... both of them hold inventory so you may get lucky thru them, but this is going to be a tough stay are reasonable prices. Are there any other neaby areas you may be able to consider? If not, what is your maximum bid? Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
r2thej Posted May 24, 2005 Author Report Posted May 24, 2005 I am willing to stay anywhere that is in a good location. I don't mind driving in, but I do plan on going to sea-world and possibly the zoo. I have found some ok rates elsewhere for 2.5-3* hotels($110). The only problem with that is I don't want to get stuck in a dump or bad neighborhood. I have only used priceline for 4* so luckily that hasn't happened yet. Any suggestions on safe bets area(s) for 3*Thanks!
thereuare Posted May 24, 2005 Report Posted May 24, 2005 I think you'll need to do a bit of research and/or be more specific with which zone(s) you want to bid... a "good location" means different things to different people.
