napajb Posted June 6, 2011 Report Posted June 6, 2011 I've been searching on Hotwire for NYC for the dates of 6/18-19 for several weeks now, and a property with amenities of fitness center, restaurant, business center and internet has been showing up for $176-177. Today, a property with the same amenities is listing for $157. The Tripadvisor customer rating is a 4. This information seems to match Crowne Plaza TS, Hilton TS and Millennium Broadway. Is there any way to figure out which one it is. One other piece of information -- the lowest rates on regular travel web sites for the Crowne Plaza and the Millennium for those dates is in the low $300s, whereas the Hilton is showing rates on some sites of $214.
AaronJB Posted June 6, 2011 Report Posted June 6, 2011 I'm not seeing this listing when searching for 6/18-19; how many people are you searching for?Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
napajb Posted June 6, 2011 Author Report Posted June 6, 2011 My mistake -- the dates are 6/18 - 6/20.
AaronJB Posted June 6, 2011 Report Posted June 6, 2011 I'm seeing a tripadvisor rating of 4/5 on the detail page for this listing - while not a guarantee, this is a possible match for the Crowne Plaza, Millennium or Hilton TS.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
AaronJB Posted June 6, 2011 Report Posted June 6, 2011 It would be a possible match for any of those 3 as the Intercontinental has a 4.5/5 tripadvisor rating. There's no way to narrow it down further.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
napajb Posted June 6, 2011 Author Report Posted June 6, 2011 okay. thanks for your help. I'll use the link if I bid on it and post.
napajb Posted June 7, 2011 Author Report Posted June 7, 2011 Following up -- I've decided not to bid on this hotel, which (if it is the same one) has now gone down to $154. It's a great price for this area and star level, but there are so many bad reviews on the hotwire site for it that I just don't want to chance it. Thanks again for your help.
