Hotwire Hotel: 3* Lexington (Northwest) Clarion

Expected the Clarion Hotel Lexington-North because it matched the former Holiday Inn for amenities:

Airport Shuttle

Fitness Center

Pool(s)

Restaurant(s)

Business Center

Laundry Facilities (self-service)

Trip adviser recent reviews looked good, so I booked a two-night stay at $54 plus around $10/night in taxes for a total of $128 (two nights).

As a follow up, I will add a comment about the property.

The property feels a bit dated, but they seem to be working to make things nicer.

The property includes a Holiday Inn type "fun dome" with a big pool, jacuzzi, basketball court (1/2), and arcade. The fitness room has two good treadmills, an eliptical, two bikes, and two weight machines.

The continental breakfast was ok, with standard hot and cold selections. The attendants were pleasant.

There is a quick stop across the parking lot and a McD's about 1/4 mile away. Other stores and restaurants are located within two miles.

Thank you for the follow-up; glad to hear that this was a satisfactory stay. It would appear as if this was one of the Holiday Inn Holodomes, but became a Clarion a few years back.
