Priceline Hotel: 3.5* Denver (Downtown) Marriott City Center

I started off looking for a for a 4* from 07/16-07/19. I began bidding low, $55. I've been successful in the past for around that price and I had plenty of time...however as I looked at hotel availability on places like Expedia and Orbitz I was finding that Monday night was the night that was bringing the prices up. (Rockies game? Not sure what is up that night)

I decided to split my bid since Monday night we are going to a concert at Red Rocks. We will have to rent a car that we prefer not to pay to park for the few hours between when we get home from the show and when we have to check out. Our plan is to bid for a hotel for JUST Monday night. We'll rent a car downtown-unfortunately I think Priceline requires us to pick up at airport which won't work.

So, gradually over several days I upped my $50ish 4 star bids for a couple dollars till I hit $69, then went back down to 3.5 star and worked my way up to this:

Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $65.00

Subtotal: $130.00

Taxes & Fees: $26.12

Total Charges*: $156.12

I actually prefer a lot of the 3.5 hotels in the downtown area, but the 4 stars have a better location if you don't rent a car...this one is located right where we want to stay so should work great.

Also, my apologies but I started off bidding using my iPhone Priceline app, as it is supposed to give you Bonus Bucks towards your next purchase. I don't think there is any way to link through better bidding using the ap. The unfortunate part is that without realizing it, when I lost my first bid, the ap sent me to priceline website on my phone. Since that apparently prevented me from getting my Bonus Bucks anyway, I could have clicked through here. Wish I had been paying closer attention but I will make sure to use your link when I book my Monday night room.
