Hi,

I attending a conference in Boston on 7/7-7/10. I will be flying in and will not be renting a car.

It will be held at the

Hampton Inn & Suites Boston Crosstown Center

811 Massachusetts Avenue,

Boston, MA 02118

The conference rate is $115.00 but I missed the deadline date.

I am not certain on Priceline if the Commons is the same area and I don't know what area to check for on hotline.

If you look at the Boston maps, your conference is being held in an area that does not have Priceline or Hotwire hotels. If you want to stay close, you will need to go through other means of booking a hotel.

If you are looking into either PL or HW, you could stay downtown and take the MBTA Silver Line to the Mass Ave stop and walk a block or two.

I only mentioned the price on their website, because it sounded like you missed registration for your corporate rate.

Beyond that The Newbie is right. This area of Boston is a very odd one. I am not even sure if there is T access there. You are just over the Mass pike on the outskirts of Boston

Thank you for the information and insight. I would perfer to bid for the 3 rooms. So, with that in mind would you suggest Copley and what other zone?

I don't mind walking the couple of blocks at all. Is there reliable mass transit that I could take? Any idea how much taxi fare run?

As previously mentioned, it's either Copley or Downtown (on PL). Copley is closer, but there isn't a subway to where you are going from Copley, so it's either bus or cab. Downtown has more 'tourist' places, but it is further away. Downtown has the T's 'Silver Line' which runs from Downtown Crossing/Boston Common down towards your hotel.

Downtown usually is cheaper than Copley, but hotels have been coming up around $80 in the Copley area recently.

Look at the MBTA website for city transportation maps.
