sfguy Posted June 2, 2011 Report Posted June 2, 2011 I've been trying for several days now to make a Priceline bid for a hotel in Munich for next week, June 7th through the 9th. I've been looking at the usual prices on Hotwire, Expedia, Orbitz, etc, and for some odd reason on those days the rates are exorbitant. Le Meridien's normal lowest rate is around $250, and on those dates it's around $900. Some other 4* hotels are usually around $150-$200, and yet on those days they are around $600. I called around and apparently next week there is some major trade conference in Munich, and so most of the hotels are already full. I keep getting rejected at every single level, I've started around $90 for 5*, gone up to about $120, and nothing. Started around $80 for 4*, went up to $110, and nothing. Tried 3*, went from $60 - 100, and... nothing. Should I just give up?
