UKChris Posted May 18, 2005 Author Report Posted May 18, 2005 I don't want to split my bid, no.(I knew I'd forget something in my original post !)
thereuare Posted May 18, 2005 Report Posted May 18, 2005 I would stick with your current plan (or even keep your bids below $85/nite at this point) and bid this every 10 days or so... rates don't appear to be too high and this could just be an access to inventory problem (although this is usually not a problem in this area). You may also want to try the US site just to see if it makes a difference, as direct rates are within the range of when we would normally see your bids above accepted.I'd be patient with this one.Keep us updated. UKChris Posted May 18, 2005 Author Report Posted May 18, 2005 OK - those were pretty much my thoughts too; it's nice to have it confirmed though !I'll let people know how my bidding goes. I might also succumb and go for a boutique hotel - there look to be some nice ones in SF.Thankyou for such a speedy reply !
UKChris Posted May 25, 2005 Author Report Posted May 25, 2005 Just to keep people updated, I've had a couple more bidding sessions, with a little variation, and have ended up with the Galleria Park boutique hotel (Embarcadero) for GBP50 per night (Approximate US$90) for the dates August 4-August 14 2005 (10 nights). My bids for GBP46 and GBP48 were both rejected.I hope this information is useful to someone !
Carol 1314 Posted June 3, 2005 Report Posted June 3, 2005 The San Francisco Gift Show is August 5th to 10th which could make it harder to get hotels close to Moscone Center where the show is held. Carol
miltonSJU Posted June 3, 2005 Report Posted June 3, 2005 Take a look at other posts that DID decide to split their bids., and see how much they saved. I am thinking of bidding for Las Vegas but they say that weekends are more expensive. So, perhaps i will split my bid. The WORST that can happen is that you have to change hotels in the middle of your stay.
